Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms.

1. About Us

Daniel Harvie Window Cleaning is a family-run, fully licensed and insured window and exterior cleaning company operating across Glasgow and surrounding areas.

​

2. Services We Provide

We offer the following services:

  • Residential window cleaning

  • Commercial window cleaning

  • Gutter cleaning

  • Conservatory cleaning

  • Solar panel cleaning

  • Soffits & fascias cleaning

The specific service provided will be confirmed at the time of booking. All services are external unless otherwise agreed.

3. Residential 4-Weekly Cleaning Schedule

Our residential window cleaning operates on a 4-weekly rota. While we aim to maintain consistent scheduling, weather conditions, route changes, or operational issues may occasionally result in delays.

Clients will be notified of significant scheduling changes where possible.

4. Access to Your Property

Customers agree to ensure adequate access on the scheduled cleaning day.

Please ensure:

  • Gates are unlocked

  • Pets are secured

  • Obstructions (bins, furniture, vehicles) are moved

If we cannot gain access, we may still charge for the scheduled clean.

5. Weather Conditions

We clean windows in most weather conditions, including light rain, as this does not affect results.
We do not clean during severe weather, storms, or conditions that pose safety risks.
In such cases, your clean will be rescheduled.

6. Payment Terms

Payment is due on the day of the clean unless otherwise agreed.

We accept:

  • GoCardless (Direct Debit)

  • Bank transfer

Payments not received within 7 days may result in paused service until the balance is cleared.

For GoCardless users:

  • Payments are processed automatically

  • Failed payments may incur re-attempts through the GoCardless system

 

7. Pricing

Quotes are based on property size, access, and service type.
Prices may be reviewed annually or when significant changes to property structure or access occur.

Customers will always be informed in advance of any price changes.

 

8. Satisfaction Guarantee

All work is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
If you are not satisfied with your clean, you must notify us within 24 hours.
We will return and re-clean the affected area free of charge.

After 24 hours, we cannot guarantee free return visits due to environmental factors (weather, pollen, dust).

9. Cancellations & Pausing Service

You may cancel or pause your service at any time, but we require:

  • 48 hours’ notice before your scheduled clean
    If notice is not provided, the full clean price may still be charged.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse service where access is unsafe, payments are overdue, or behaviour is unreasonable.

 

10. Damage & Liability

We are fully insured. However, we cannot accept liability for:

  • Pre-existing damage to windows, frames, gutters, or rooflines

  • Poor installation or deteriorated materials

  • Water ingress caused by faulty seals or defective window frames

  • Access issues caused by obstructions beyond our control

If accidental damage occurs as a direct result of our actions, we will address it promptly and professionally.

 

11. Use of Purified Water Systems

Our water-fed pole systems use purified water to ensure a streak-free finish.
Windows dry naturally.
Water spotting may occur if:

  • Frames are heavily soiled;

  • Nearby building work causes dust;

  • Windows are opened before fully dry.

 

12. Gutter, Roofline, & Solar Panel Work

These services require safe access.
We do not clean areas that pose a risk to staff or equipment.
If access is not possible on the day, we may reschedule or adjust the service.

 

13. Customer Responsibilities

By booking our services, customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate property information

  • Maintain safe access to all areas

  • Allow reasonable working conditions

  • Pay invoices on time

 

14. Termination of Service

Daniel Harvie Window Cleaning reserves the right to terminate service immediately if:

  • Abuse or aggression is directed at staff

  • Payment issues persist

  • Unsafe working conditions exist

  • Excessive cancellations occur
